America used to be great. Can someone make it that way again?

All of the pirated Adobe installs require host file changes to redirect the license calls to local or nonexistent IPs. Maybe by Adobe adding this, it enables them to track pirated installs, since presumably the new host entry would reestablish the creative cloud connection...

Would be interesting to hear if any previously working cracked installs were broken...

Actually not 100% correct. AFAIK there are two patches around: an "online" variant that requires a clean host file but has access to more features and the "offline" variant that uses the host file to block traffic like you described.

From friends I know who tried pirated Adobe software, yes they confirm it.

Yeah was thinking exactly the same thing.

Artemis II is scheduled for re-entry to Earth on April 10th. That is when the heat shield issue will be the most dangerous.

If it fails and the mission fails with loss of life while knowing it went ahead despite the IG report about the heat shield... It might be the end of NASA.

Hopefully it will return safely.

> It might be the end of NASA

If idiots and emotions rein, maybe. Then the centre of gravity for space exploration correctly shifts to Musk and China.

For manned spaceflight, I'd say it already has. NASA itself has launched a grand total of one manned flight since July 2011. China has launched 14 and SpaceX has launched 20. Worse, the NASA vehicle is completely unsustainable. It was obsolete before it ever flew and it's so expensive that the mission launched yesterday likely costs more than the entire R&D cost of SpaceX's rocket and capsule. Probably China's too.

The problem is that the purpose of NASA's manned spaceflight program isn't to explore space. It's to make the President look good (and I'm not just talking about the current one here) and funnel money to contractors. In that respect it's doing quite well.

The center has already shifted to Musk, SpaceX is 83% of global lift capacity. Artemis is flying an obsolete rocket at insane cost, and higher risk.

Maybe the hackers will release information connecting Patel to the Noem and Lewandowski grift operations with govt contracts. Out of the four companies allowed to bid for the $220 million advertising contract, 3 were linked to Noem and Lewandowski and one to Patel.

Im sure they are all doing it...

Well, if the president sets the example. What can you expect from the rest ?

well if you're listing your hopes, not talking from what those hackers brought...

that just means the operation is a dismal failure -- nothing to see

this really undermines iran hackers' claims regarding 'big things' on trump administration

China, Iran and Russia can vastly out produce missle interceptors. Drones, hypersonics, etc.

They can also manufacture launchers faster and cheaper than they can be countered. $30k drone vs interceptor at millions.

The U.S. and Israel will not accept the current regime staying in power.

Neither side wants to stop the war. Israel, Europe, the U.S., gulf states and others in missile range of Iran will not want the current regime to remain in power.

What happens next? Full invasion? Regime change Iraq style??

Here is a highly probable outcome before next year. Iran continues breaking the Iron Dome and firing on "allied" targets and infrastructure. The U.S.refuses or cant sustain a full invasion (because it is a death trap).

What happens next? It is obvious Israel will use tactical nukes on Tehran and other targets in Iran. It is going to be their only option.

Location data is arguably more important than financial or medical data. Atleast in a context where someone is after you. Thanks to bribery and data brokers, it doesnt have to be anyone in Govt or LE tracking you. Collect certain identifiers from a device or account and you can track almost anyone. Financial and medical data access is certainly bad, but your location data can be used to orchestrate a stalking campaign or a murder in a deniable way.

It is why after the U.S. kills or captures some foreign leader, they brag about figuring out their routes and daily habits. It is not a stretch to say that it could also be done, and probably has before, in the U.S.

Extreme penalities should be put in place for any location data access without a court order... And your location should never be allowed to be sold or shared with any non court approved third party. It really is that serious and if the public had the bandwidth to be concerned over another issue, maybe something would change.

Who knows, maybe all the public needs to take it seriously are some real life examples of location data being used illegally...

Theocratic states based on a concept of superiority with a delusional belief in biblical armageddon should never be allowed to have weapons capable of turning that delusion into reality.

That's a tad selective.

You do know that there are at least two more delusional cults in that general area. Neither of which acknowledge the bible.

Law enforcement should require a subpoena if they want to have location data for anyone. It really isnt a third party loophole issue.

Law enforcement should only be accessing location data if they have probable cause to believe a crime is happening. This invalidates the third party doctrine loophole and becomes an unreasonable search (and seizure of your privacy) under the 4th amendment.

Location data specifically should be treated as the most private data about a person. It should have the highest scrutiny for any access. It is more important than your financial records and medical records.

The real question is what percentage of GDP is directly created (or continues to exist) because of the increased debt. When this metric was created the GDP was more authentic and not debt driven.

It is an open question just how much of "social media" has been similar to moltbook for many years. Or maybe Zuckerberg being an android himself just finally found his home.
