I really wish HN would implement a 'no ny times' policy.

I don’t think HN should ban basically any domain that can make it to the front page without being flagged.

I do thoroughly enjoy reading when people constructively disassemble an upvoted article with well reasoned logic and solid prose.

I just now found the Forget Me plugin for Chrome, which seems to work to wipe the NYT's tracking cookie and reset my access. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/forget-me-clean-hi...

It would be great if you could add -%% options to your user name to do this filtering terminal style.

Oddly, using w3m avoids their paywall.

So actually, if you just view source in Chrome or Firefox, you can often read the articles.

The paywall is not what irks me. It's all the crap they post that either invokes super inflammatory commentary here on HN (like, men being emotional, men being anxious, men being xyz) or the really NERF-level stuff that lacks any substance and really just makes you think of Captain Obvious™

NERF-level?

Soft and harmless, like Nerf balls and projectiles.

I guess “super inflammatory” is code for “stuff I don’t agree with”.

I really wish people that think HN is a hot bed for libertarianism would notice how many NYT links are consistently on the front page, while mises links are conspicuous by their absence.
