Interesting experiment. One major issue: "Scroll with the click wheel" is not very intuitive instruction, you might want to add animated visual how to scroll. And consider adding PageUp/PageDown functionality on prev/next button for us, folks with less patience :)

Oh, and on Firefox you can grab labels with mouse, scroll doesn't work then.

Ok idea for touch screens, like phones or tablets. Awful user experience when navigating with a mouse. Even on phones/tablets, there are better user abstractions for scrolling.

The scroll wheel was great when you had a dedicated hardware implementation with no touch screen. But for the web...meh.
