Will this support OBS being the conferencing/recording point such that one can have multiple video remotes in a live-streamed video (like StreamYard but open source and not browser-based)?


Not by itself. This adds the option of streaming output using WHIP, the WebRTC-HTTP Ingest Protocol [1].

I hope so soon! I now prefer using OBS vs Chrome screenshare because the quality is so much better.

Conferencing providers just need to add WHIP support. It is trivial to add.

That would be awesome for consumers... but horrible for the business model of conferencing providers which is why it won't happen.


Has anyone started an issue or PR for Jitsi? We use them exclusively for work. I'd love to be able to use OBS with work streams without awkward virtual webcam hacks.
